My work as a tutor mentor for Cabrini Connections for more than seven years lead me to take pictures of the kids involved in the program. The kids who participated in the Photo Project continue to live at Cabrini Housing Project and some has moved. They have a crucial understanding how to survive and thrive in an inner city neighborhood that’s has gone through an evolution: stay in school and get connected with people who care about the community and it’s people. It is through this modeling that I take pride in these kids and what they aspire to become and who they are.
